Steve has had a varied educational and professional background. He has studied at and graduated from Pepperdine University (B.A., English), Valparaiso Law School (J.D.), and Calvin Theological Seminary (M.Div.). Before going back to seminary, Steve practiced law in the area of merger and acquisitions for three years. Through these experiences, Steve has gained both profound respect for and unique insight into the life and work of professionals, of people who pursue their lives and work according to high standards of excellence. His passion is to understand and communicate the way in which the Gospel renews the life and work of the professionals in New York City, particularly lower Manhattan. When Steve is not pursuing his work at City Fellowship Church, buried in a book, or watching golf or football, he is spending time with his wife, Dana, and their two children, Chloe and Jonathan.

Ben grew up near Tokyo. After graduating from the Christian Academy in Japan, Ben majored in English Literature at Calvin College. During that time Ben discerned a call to ministry and began preparations for seminary. He excelled in his studies at Calvin Theological Seminary and had many formative experiences, including visiting Louisiana State Penitentiary and serving as the Student Senate president. While at seminary, Ben and his wife, Christy, a registered nurse, began to entertain the idea of church planting. After an internship in New Jersey at Bridgeway Community Church, Ben and Christy accepted an offer to work with Steve and Dana Wolma to develop the community of City Fellowship Church. Ben enjoys swimming, sailing, fly fishing, cooking and a variety of athletic activities.
